Why Winter is a Grreat Time for Cosmetic Surgeries?

Why winter is a great time for cosmetic surgeries?

Cooler weather = less-revealing clothing = you can recover behind your comfy, bulky sweaters!

Bonus- Less sunlight!

Winter is when we trade hot, sunny days for the cool, crisp air. It is usually a time we slow down and spend more time inside. Therefore, it’s easier for you to rest and focus on your recovery.

If you’re planning a facial surgery (like rhinoplasty, genioplasty, lip augmentation, cheek correction, earlobe correction, face lift, submental liposuction, buccal fat paf removal or lip reduction etc) then minimizing sun exposure is one of the essential instructions! Lots of sun exposure can hinder the healing process and can even cause the skin to scar.

So the BEST time of having any cosmetic surgery is NOW!

Look Party-ready tis' holiday Season- New Moms Version

With winter quickly approaching, the holiday season is quickly upon us. Everyone is gearing to look their best at the holiday party. As a new mother, you must be excited to celebrate your baby's first holiday season with your loved ones but is the feeling of looking "all over the place" and "not being your best self" bothering you constantly? It is important to understand that pregnancy and childbirth are hard on women's body, it obvious to not being able to take care of yourself during the new-mom phase because you give your child ALL of your time. But, at the same time, it is also important to note that new moms often suffer from post-partum depression due to constantly feeling consious about their body, and well, it not easy to accept the "unwanted changes" in your body.

A hanging tummy bulge and sagging breasts bother most women after child-birth. So this holiday season may not be the most exciting time for new moms. The thought of wearing your favorite dress may be just a distant dream now, because you know it won't look that great anymore (thanks to sagging boobs!).  The upper part of the breast often becomes "empty" after finishing breastfeeding, areolas stretch and nipples point downward resulting in a shape that is more elliptical than round. There can be a loss of volume at the upper portion of the breast, accumulation of breast tissue in the outer and lower breast quadrants and down-turning of the nipple position. But all of this can be fixed just in-time because there is still plenty of time to improve your figure to make you party-ready. The cosmetic Breast Lift combined with Fat Grafting can benefit your in many ways:
  1. It can re-position your loose breasts to their natural, uplifted position
  2. It can re-fill some of the lost volume and make your breasts looks fuller
  3. It can help you get back the youthful shape of your breasts
  4. You can still breastfeed your second child if you plan to.
  5. There is NO foreign material involved (it uses your own fat to increase the volume)
  6. It can boost your self-confidence so you can confidently wear your favorite party dress
  7. No more feeling conscious because of shape of your breasts

Winters time! What special treatment does your skin need?

Winter is almost knocking at the doors and it will be common phrase we hear soon- "I love the sun!" Well, I must tell the sun-lovers that it doesn't love you back. We all like to sit in the sun with maximum area of our skin exposed to get the benefit of it but in all that we do, we forget one thing that the harmful UVA & UVB Rays (produced by sun itself) are still on, and these rays are never kind to our skin (even in the winters!). So what should I do to protect my skin in winter? Glad that you asked! You just need to keep few things in mind (every winters and every season) to use good quantity as well as quality sun-protection creams or lotions (according to your skin type or better, take your plastic surgeon's advice). Your skin's special demands in winters is always more hydration as it turns dry very soon in this season. So just reduce the use of cleansers that contains chemicals such as the alpha hydroxyl acids (think glycolic acid) that makes your skin dry. Back off to using it the other day (if you use it daily) or use it once/twice a week. Moisturizer is the food for your skin as it works as a barrier against cold so keep applying it at least twice everyday (on all the exposed parts of the body).
